From a very young age, Inneke worked with movement and interacting forces from sports experiences in gymnastics and horse riding. Her choice to follow physical education and physiotherapy, where she always achieved the highest distinction in all courses concerning biomechanics, was obvious.

In 2004 Inneke started out working as a physiotherapist, where her satisfaction and success came mostly from repairing movement patterns using the necessary exercise therapy. From her experience in the classical way of treating people, she found that people were being categorised too much into ‘anatomic parts’ and that the ‘body awareness’ of most people was extremely low. That triggered her search for an alternative which she found in Fasciatherapy and perceptive pedagogy.
In 2014 she started her own practice in Brasschaat as a Fasciatherapist. By using a combination of manual techniques, medical taping and perceptive training, a customized plan can be made for every patient with his specific needs so that in time he can help himself to stay healthy.

Her fondness of horses and the purchase of her own horse lead to her obtaining a diploma in Horse physiotherapy in 2016. Extra schooling in straightness training and academic riding and working on a paper on the independent seat have contributed to not only laying the focus on the treatment of the horse but on treating both, horse and rider, through the same principles of Fasciatherapy and perceptive pedagogy.

" Teamwork makes the dream work "

An important task of a physiotherapist is to give good advice and refer to other domains witch are, at that point, prior in the rehabilitation of rider and horse.
